Our Story

Built on Strong Foundations

The foundations of MacPherson Joiners & Builders go back long before the company name. Growing up in Killin, Alex entered the trade through an apprenticeship with Stitt Bros, where his father also worked. It was there that he developed the practical skills, work ethic and standards that would go on to shape the way MacPherson operates today.

After completing his apprenticeship, Alex remained with Stitt Bros before moving to another Stirling-based firm in 2013. In 2016, he took the step into self-employment, steadily building a client base and reputation for dependable workmanship. That growth led to the formation of MacPherson Joiners & Builders Ltd in 2018.

Since then, the business has continued to grow in experience, capability and the scale of projects it delivers. Those original values remain at the heart of the company: do the job properly, communicate clearly, take pride in the finished work and give people the opportunity to develop.
